Dooced: To lose one’s job because of one’s website.
Perhaps this is why pseudonyms are a necessity in the blogging world, yet does this anonymity provide any insight to who we really are? Well over at KissingSuzyKolber a member of their crack staff, xmas ape, decided to “out” himself in celebration of the blog’s upcoming revenue. Apparently his employers, the Washington Post, were not so enthused about being called a dying medium or even slightly intrigued by the ongoing tales of Marmalard. Thus the Xmas ape was dooced by an asshole editor at the Post.
