  2. JSKCKNIT Says:

Wish Big Al and D. West were still on the roster.

  3. MATT33 Says:

    JSKCKNIT,

Your wish may come true this upcoming july when Delonte West becomes a free-agent. Danny Ainge might possibly be D-West’s biggest fan so do not be surprised if he signs “Redz” to help lighten the load for both Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen next season.

Big Al Jefferson could help take the Celtic torch from aging veterans Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce, five years from now when his deal with Minnesota expires. I know the last scenario sounds like a reach but so didn’t early rumors of Kevin Garnett coming to Boston. Danny Ainge has proven that anything can happen in Boston!

  4. Perk is my daddy! Says:

I really enjoyed this post! It’s funny. Looking back, I had high hopes on busts like Cal Cheney, Kedrick Brown, Gerald Green, Telfair, Joe Forte, etc…And you know, guys like Battie, Kenny, Eric Williams, Toine, Rodgers and Delk actually contributed but were never adequate. I love where we are now. And I’m happy that Pierce isn’t on your list because without him, we wouldn’t be here!

If you don’t know already, someone in today’s Simmons chat name-checked perkisabeast.com. Expect an uptick in traffic.

    Remember this starting five?

    Tony Delk

    Antoine Walker
    Tony Battie

    That was a team.

  12. Rob Says:

I didn’t come to your blog because of some Simmons article; I’m a disgruntled Timberwolves fan who’s been reading your blog since shortly after the Garnett trade. I submitted the comment to give you a heads up, not to announce that I’m perusing your blog on the off-chance that it is “stupid enough for my taste.”

Fair is fair. If you want to criticize me, hell, criticize me for fifteen years of misspent loyalty to one of the worst franchises in professional sports history. THAT was stupid, especially after the decade-long reaming that Timberwolves fans have taken from Kevin McHale and Glen Taylor. But don’t lump me in with the horde that’s going to be coming to your site just because it was mentioned in a Simmons chat. I’ll cop to liking Simmons’s stuff enough to read most of it, but I’m not so stupid as to let my taste be defined by it.

    Rob,

We have no idea who maligned you, but that is a more than adequete and rather elegant defense.

    Cheers

    I miss Walter McCarty.
