Finally There Back

Tonight the Celtics open up their 2008-2009 preseason with a game against the newly rebuilt Philadelphia 76’s. It should be a fun game to watch even though we won’t see much of the big 3 according to Doc. Speaking of Doc, he will be absent from the game tonight because he is tending to “personal matters”. Tom Thibodeau will be coaching the C’s tonight along with help from Armond Hill. Were going to see a lot of playing time by the rookies, and new addition Darius Miles should get his fair share of burn too.

What to watch for:

1) Bill Walker. We here in the beast lair are literally counting the minutes until we get to see Billy’s NBA debut, which should be good since he’s been tearing up training camp.
2) Darius Miles. We get the opportunity to see Darius play a professional game of basketball for the first time in two years, and he’s got a lot to prove, so he should be pumped up.
3) Tom Thibodeau. Lets see if Tommy has a hidden F U in his coaching style tonight for the teams that didn’t choose him to be a head coach.

All in all it should be a fun game to watch, what with Phillys new roster and all the new guys the C’s have to play.
