After weathering a rough first half storm by the spurs, the thunder were able to overcome an 18 point deficit to capture the Western Conference Finals Championship. Kevin Durant put up an amazing performance scoring 34 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists as the thunder outscored the San Antonio Spurs by 23 in the second half of the game. Russell Westbrook (25 points, 8 boards, 5 assists) and James Harden (16 points, 5 boards, 4 assists) also came up big as the team came together to advance to the 2012 NBA Finals.

Showdown between two of 409′s finest

For those of you who do not know, two of the best ballers from the golden triangle are facing off tonight during the OKC – San Antonio NBA Western Conference Finals. Kendrick Perkins and the OKC Thunder are set to face the Spurs in less than an hour from now, but there is another small show behind the larger WCF, and that is the relationship/battle between two good friends from back home. Stephen Jackson and Kendrick Perkins have known each other since childhood, and are great friends. Keep an eye on this relationship…or rivalry…as the night and series unfolds
