Statistically it is proven, Perk Is A Beast

With the addition of ESPN’s new Celtics blog, Celtics Hub, comes more love for Perk. Yesterday, we received an email from Zach Lowe, one of the three original creators of the new blog. In his email, Zach said that he has been a fan of PIAB for a while (thank you zach), and that they were about to publish a big article on Perk proving how the Celt’s are by far better when Perk is on the floor. Here’s a little segment from the article, the rest of the article you can find here.
But one variable did make a difference: The C’s win more often when Kendrick Perkins is more involved in the offense. Perkins averaged 6.9 points per game on 4.5 shots last year; he’s upped those numbers to 8.0 points on 5.7 shots this season. Let’s see what happens when Perk exceeds those averages.
C’s record when Perk scores 10 points or more: 25-5
C’s record when Perk takes seven shots or more: 32-2
C’s record when Perk takes eight shots or more: 22-0
So, now you can see, we here in the beast lair aren’t as full of shit as you guys thought we were. Thanks for the props Zach, and always remember, PERK IS A BEAST!

I’ve Always though we should post up Perk more, and let him take his mid-range jumper too…it might be experimental at first, but I really think that he can take advantage of some matchups down low and his jumper looks smooth when it’s on, hell, doesn’t he have one of the highest shooting percentages on the Celtics ? Why not give him a few more shots, but I think they should keep working on his passing out of the post and to cutters, he is good but can still improve then if he starts to draw double teams that could be great for shooters like house and ray ray, and cutters like rondo and tony too.
Let’s start a movement to GIVE PERK MORE LOOKS
