Hey, the guy can ball and he’s a definite upgrade to Pruitt or T.A. (no disrespect to either of them). I like it. Plus, the guy is just flat-out talented and fun to watch. This will also keep defenses more honest. When you have this guy out on the floor w/SugarRay, P-Dub and KG, who are you going to leave open to double-team..? And believe me, the veterans on the C’s will not tolerate any $#i& from Marbury. Besides, deep down every player plays the game for one reason-to win that Larry O’Brien trophy. I truly believe even Steph get put the bull$hi& aside for 4 months for the sake of a nice big ring-you know how Starbury likes his bling…

I also think that Giddens has the potential to partially fill the void of Posey, on defense…but there is only one way he will do that…
J.R. has to study James Posey and understand exactly how hard Posey works and not only that but the effort he gives on the floor on offense and defense, Posey is always going all out but not wildly, a focused all out effort on defense.
Giddens has that same long body type and has just as good if not better hops and similar quickness like Pose…but it’s a question of whether a rookie can be that disciplined on defense, and work that hard.

Giddens definitely is long and athletic. The experience he got in Utah (D-League) was great. Hopefully this summer he will ball some of the veterans and keep working on his game. He just isn’t going to get much playing time w/the exception of some garbage time minutes.

gotdamn man i need to vent, no not coors light i’m already drinking budweiser at 1pm and i have to go to work soon.
I am sick and fukn tired of Doc Rivers letting opposing teams make blatant attempts to injure our players with NO RETALIATION FROM ANYONE ON THE CELTS.
We HAVE players that can be put into goon mode and take a hard foul, I don’t care if they get suspended we need to send a message when opposing teams try to injure our players.
Last night after Pierce had the painful dislocation, collins and davis both were slapping at his thumb in attempt to dislocate it again.
I don’t care who it was, anyone from: Walker, Baby, Perk, Powe, Giddens, Moore, etc…somebody we can afford to lose for a couple games.
Look, things are different this year, zach randolph only got 2 games for an unprovoked punch to the teeth of a player.
We need to send a message, collins and/or davis should have been fouled so hard they were laying in a pool of their own feces, coward mf’s.
I don’t care if we are winning either, Perk or someone should have stepped to kenyon martin teh other night when he gave the unnecassary hard foul on ray ray.
When we don’t respond in anyway that sends the wrong message, this team needs to be willing get a suspension to protect it’s players, someone needs to get layed out and i mean harder then hard.

I’m all for having discipline.
I respect Garnett’s strategy of getting under people’s skin by talking but letting the other player react physically and get the technical.
That is a smart, b-ball savvy veteran move.
But when our players are being put at grave risk game in game out by opposing teams showing a lack of fear of any retaliation from our players, a message needs to be sent to the league.
We need to pick someone who is really stepping over the line, a martin or even a bum like collins, and knock out a few teeth or atleast a concussion, at the very least a busted lip/black eye.
This is only to protect our players, since the league is unwilling to, and wants the Celtics to go down with injuries.
The Celtics are the Greatest Franchise in the History of Sports and that kike stern can’t stand it, he wants us to suffer multiple injuries.
WE have to protect ourselves, fukk a suspension atleast we get that player back in a few games, not with severe injuries we won’t.
The league should feel absolutely disgraced at the fact that players were trying RE-DISLOCATE Paul Pierce’s finger and PIERCE GOT THE TECHNICAL FOUL!!!!
Imagine if that sh1t happened to their babygirl Hobe Cryant…mutliple players would have been suspened from the clippers, smh at this coward kike stern.
On a sidenote, I think Wyc Grousbeck is a wonderful owners, aside from not signing Posey which i don’t know if that was his decision, and it wasn’t that bad imo, we are right where we were at last year, and we have added an essential big and back up point.
Wyc seems like a good dude, and is willing to spend, not being a greedy j..jerk…so I have lots of respect for Wyc at this point but he needs to give that kike stern a phonecall and have a jew to jew talk with this maggot letting opposing teams try to seriously injur our star players with no repercussions, and let him know we are going to make our own repercussions from here on out.

AND
PERK THE BEAST (aka Merkins) needs to STOP moving on a screens…I caught him a couple times last night, where he wasn’t even called for a moving screen but it was…he would be set, and all of a sudden the player would try to step around him and he made a clear step in that direction after he was set, YOU CAN’T DO THAT PERK.
Please someone work with Perk a bit more on this, this guy has been the most consistent player, especially defensively, but he cannot cost us tight games with moving screens, he has to learn that once he’s set just stay even if the man steps around you, you have done your job in making him take an extra step around you, you don’t need to always make contact.

I’m not worried about homecourt advantage either, the media hates The C’s and wants to act like the C’s need homecourt, I think the Celtics will be better on the road in the playoffs last year, last year was an abherration if you look how they did on the road in the regular season last year.
Funny, the selective memory of the media.
One troubling thing about this team though, it seems like certain games we don’t get up for mentally, I started to see it last year in some of those road playoff losses, like we knew we were never trailing in those first two series so the road games we didn’t want as bad.
Obviously, you could see the difference in mental focus and in turn physical effort from the Nuggets game to the Clippers game…it was like night and day, we just were not in the game last night, except for a couple players, Pierce was trying but had a disadvantage with people pullin at his thumb.
But, that is fine with me in the regular season, you don’t have to get up for every game, but in the Playoffs, I think we WILL show more intensity in road games this year, maybe because we have to, but either way we must if we intend to repeat.
